Bara Imambara is popularly known
as Bhool Bhulaiya (labyrinth) due to it having thousands of ways but only a single
right way to reach the destination so people who enter it are unable to find the
way to get out. It is only the type of labyrinth in India.
Its name Bara means big and
Imambara means shrine. Imambara refers to the place where Shia Muslims
celebrate their various ceremonies such as Muharram. It’s another unpopular
name is Asafi Imambara due to its construction being done by Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula.
Bada Imambara or Bhulbhulaiya is
the pride of Lucknow and people know Lucknow by the name of Bada Imambara.

Lucknow where Maa Chandrika Devi is prayed in the ‘Pindis Roop’ (a rock having
three Pindis or heads).

Goddess Chandi a form of Hindu Goddess Maa Durga. During the Navratri days, it

Chandrika Devi.
The Chandrika Devi Temple and its
nearby areas have very significant religious relevance to Ramayana and are
called Mahi Sagar Teerth. There are details of this Chandrika Devi temple in
the blessed books of Skand and Karma Puran.
Chandrika Devi Temple is
approximately 300 years old and it is about 28 km from Lucknow. The temple site
is surrounded by the river Gomti from three sides. This place can also be called a

7. Rumi Darwaza
Rumi Darwaza is the symbol of
Lucknow. It is situated near the Bara Imamabara you must see it when visiting Lucknow.
It is actually a gate that is
situated between Chhota and Bara Imambara. Rumi Darwaza was built by the Nawab
Asaf-Ud-Daula in 1784.
It is about 60 feet tall. The architecture of
the Rumi Darwaza is purely in the Awadhi style. There is no entry ticket for seeing
it.
8. Chota Imambara
Among the top historical places
in Lucknow Chhota Imambara is one of the places that you have to see it. It was built
by Muhammad Ali Shah in 1838 who was the third Nawab of Awadh.
Its other name is Imambara
Hussainabad Mubarak. Its architecture is so beautiful and you can feel it by
going there.
9. Hazratganj
Hazaratganj is called the heart
of Lucknow because it is situated in the center of the main city. Hazrat Ganj is an
old and very popular area of Lucknow.
Before the multiplex culture,
Hazrat Ganj was the main place for the tourist and travelers who come to Lucknow

It was the main market of the old

10. Indira Gandhi Planetarium-Taramandal
